In February 2026, Westlock Community Foundation Board Chair Ralph Leriger (pictured above, at left) presented a $25,000 grant to Steven Miller, President of the Westlock & District Tractor Museum Foundation.

This grant was fuelled by the Community Priorities Grant - Capital Stream, and exemplifies precisely what this grant stream is for. Miller stated:

“We are deeply grateful to the Westlock Foundation for awarding the Canadian Tractor Museum a grant of $25,000. In addition, a generous donation of $20,000 from the Westlock and District Vintage Tractor Club has played a crucial role in our fundraising efforts. With these contributions, we were able to apply for and successfully receive a Community Facility Enhancement Program Grant totalling $62,000.

“The funds received will enable the museum to construct a new building specifically designed to store and display our collection of vintage harvest equipment. This expansion will provide the public with greater access to view and appreciate these valuable artifacts, preserving important aspects of our agricultural heritage for future generations.

“This remarkable opportunity would not have been possible without the steadfast support of the Westlock Foundation. By leveraging the Foundation's funding to secure additional provincial resources, we see firsthand how the Foundation is maximizing its capacity to make a meaningful and enduring contribution to our community.”

The Westlock Community Foundation is honoured to have played a role in preserving this aspect of our shared heritage for residents and visitors to enjoy for years to come.
