Westlock Community Foundation Appoints New Executive Director

April 3, 2023, Westlock, AB – The Westlock Community Foundation is pleased to announce the appointment of Katie Robertson as the organization’s new Executive Director. She will take her position as of May 1, 2023. 

Robertson brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the role, having previously served in various leadership positions in the non-profit sector. She is known for her strong commitment to community building and has a track record of success in fundraising, donor relations, and strategic planning.

“We are thrilled to have Katie join us as the new Executive Director of the Westlock Community Foundation,” said Board President, Wayne Peyre. “She has the skills, knowledge, and passion to lead our organization as we continue to work towards our mission of enhancing the quality of life for all residents in our community.”

As Executive Director, Robertson will be responsible for the overall management of the organization, including fundraising, grant-making, and community outreach. She will work closely with the Board of Directors to develop and implement strategies that align with the Foundation’s goals and objectives.

“I am excited to be joining the Westlock Community Foundation at such a critical time in its growth and development,” said Robertson. “I look forward to working with the Board, staff, donors, and community partners to build on the Foundation’s early successes and to make a positive impact on the lives of those we serve.”

The Westlock Community Foundation is a charitable organization that provides grants and support to local charities, non-profit organizations, and community initiatives. Since its establishment in 2020, the Foundation was established after a generous multi-million dollar bequeathment was received from Albert and Florence Miller.
